Suppose that you start at full throttle, and you live there, so you release the key and the patch disappears. This means that there are no envelopes. They are larger component of sound articulation. It is as a result of envelopes, you can be creative and express the dynamic sounds through your synthesizer. They can be a little hard to understand, but you will eventually learn about them. Think of the standard envelope as four major units.
Unit 1:
If you want good string sounds and then do the following. Seen it quite a lot when the sound will gradually decrease. If you set to nothing so the sound is immediately on Full Tilt. So you want to "attack" which means that sound is rising up to its max level.
Unit 2:
Since the attack brings the sound up and remain at that level, how long it keeps the Known as the "decay". If you set it at max. level, then it will stay there permanently which means maintaining phase is of no value.
Unit 3:
When the decay phase is completed will be to maintain a level where it remains. In some cases, depending on your synthesizer, you can have a dedicated sustain timing, which means it will decay sustain the scene after an adjustment period.
Unit 4:
The sustain level takes a period to fall to silence. This is the release, and it's almost like reverb on the sound ends. If you would like it to be instant then set the release level to zero.
Get a picture in your mind of the envelopes then to practice the programming of the envelopes, you will master it. Think of each unit on graph paper where you sell higher to lower points as it passes through the different units and the sound changes. Picture the sound rising through the attack, falling through the decay that is left in the established level maintenance, and finally it disappears through the release when you let go.
To formulate the filter requires a filter envelope. You should see a dedicated button to the filter frequency. You go to program the filter envelope, just as you would any regular envelope when you turn down the normal cut-off filter and turn the filter envelope broke higher.
