violin pegs keep slipping in very hot weather.?
I live in Cairns, Australia which is in the tropics. It gets very hot and humid here in summer. My violin does not stay in tune very long because the pegs keep popping out.Does anybody have any suggestions? What about perfection pegs : has anybody tried these ?
I’ve rosined the pegs in both humid and hot and hot and dry climates that will work for about 6 months or more at a time…. take the pegs out and rosin them just like a bow
the winding suggestion is very good but those peg drops are a fraud … to use them properly you have to reshape the peg and without training that can be VERY tricky
