Will an octave pedal to help me with this violin solo?
I learn to play violin, someone asked me to play a solo in their band, using my fiddle Instead of a keyboard, but some of the notes are too high for violin. Would an octave pedal be a solution to this problem? Would I have an electric violin to pull it out with the pedal? Could I just mic my classical violin and put it through the pedal? I was figuring I could mic my violin, stick an octave pedal in the amp and play everything an octave down, but pedal will adjust the right notes.
either way would work, electric violin would work better themselves. you might want to be cautious, but some octave pedals only go down.
