How long does it take for a beginner violinist to start sounding good?
I'm 15 and I plan to start the violin. I'm just wondering where long does it take before you start sounding good? I know beginners sound kind of screechy, etc. Also, how long before you can play easy songs like hot crossed buns, twinkle twinkle, etc. and sounds good.
It depends on your intonation (if you can hit the right note correctly) and use your bow correctly (this is what makes it sound screechy. Generally, and I'm very serious, it will take about a year.
