Should I spend $290AU on a violin case for a $1000AU violin?
Hi guys need some help and advice here. I have a brand new Gliga Gama 2 violin and need a new case. how much should i spend on it? is 290 for a case too much for a Gliga Gama 2?
The case I’m looking at is a professional case, oblong with good suspension Hard plywood shell, styrofoam construction, padding, hygrometer, 4 bow holders, string tube, brass plated fitting.

290 isn’t that bad… I have seen nice cases like you described go into the thousands (like a musafia). The case might even outlast the violin! And if you ever sell it a nice case can help you sell it for more believe it or not. People might not pay $1000 even if the violin is worth it with a crappy case. But they could pay over that with a nice one. I know from experience.
