as a violin string playing?
wel, I'm completely new to both violin and western music, I'm just learning everything, so I found this violin fingerboard chart and also has a music sheet (of twinkle twinkle little star) now I have a doubt … same rule can be played in different strings (which give quite different tones), and it just seemed wrong to play the way I want for example I can play 'B' in both G and A string giving off very different tones is a rule as such declaration must use some string i hope the question is clear I'm sooo confused! please help thanks
Are you talking about the same note, different pitch or exactly the same tone (Staff and everything), but a different sound? Yes there are many ways to play a note on the violin (like an F on top of staff), but since you are learning it should all be in first position, which should be explained to you on your finger board chart. So if you live in the same situation (just to ensure that we are on the same page) and you want to play a 'B', it depends on the nodes. 'B' on the G string is the staff and 'B' on the A string is slightly middle. The music will tell you which string to play 'B'. Now if, for example, I tell you to play a C, there is a set of string that you must play to C. It is really hard to explain it through words and not show up = / What do you mean by "it just seemed wrong to play the way I want 'huh? Example please. And when you start, I highly recommend you get a teacher. I've been playing for 10 years and I still have one. They are professionals (hopefully) and will teach you to play violin two or even four times as fast as you can teach yourself. Trust me, I've seen violinists who have played in three, four years to play songs I played in on my two years learning. You need a teacher if you really want to learn. I hope that helps = / I do not quite understand your question and I need visuals haha. Good luck!
