How could I get a new, quality violin?
Hi!
I am a violinist and I was wondering how I could get a nice quality violin.
I come from a poor family and started playing violin 5 years ago.. I moved out of state to study violin when I was sixteen. (I’m about to turn 18 now) and I have completed many of the things I needed to do.
I’ve done all Sevicek books, I’ve done Kreutzer, Rode, Gavines etudes and now working on Dont op. 35. I am working on the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto right now, I have done Vieuxtemps 5, 4. Khachaturian, Mozart 3,4,5, Lalo Symphonie Espagnole, Wieniawski 2 and Bruch. My violin is very low quality and I need a new one.. Would anyone know how I could get a new one and not pay insane amounts that I can not afford??

Go to a specialty violin maker and get an internship. Don’t give up if you are declined the first time.
