violin cleaning cloth
what sort of cloth should i use to clean my violin?

To clean the rosin off of my violin strings and violin what type of cloth? And by soft cloth what does that mean, a towel??? right now though im using my glasses lens cleaner. yu know that cloth that comes with glasses. But is that okay to use???

I hope you do not then use that cloth to clean your glasses – the rosin residue will RUIN your glasses. Get a microfiber cloth – they are everywhere, and not expensive. Use one to clean the rosin off your strings and the body where is it visible – and then use the other side, or another one (get 2 colors) to wipe your entire violin. Throw these in the wash often – and NEVER use any fabric softener on them – just wash and let dry naturally. You can hand wash them, if it means you will wash them more often than throwing them into the machine. From a good violin company, you can get violin cleaner and polish – use in once in a great while.
