Teaching my self Violin and I’ve got some questions?

Yes I know I should get lessons and a teacher, and I will eventually.I’ve got Some Suzuki Violin School books to help, and my grandmother got me A book called First lessons for Violin that came with a DVD and CD. (do you think those will help?)
Um well the fingering tape, how should I go about when putting that on? And wouldn’t it just make the violin sticky when I take it off? My Violin doesn’t have a sticker on the inside, so does that mean its a fake, and by fake, I mean will it sound horrible forever, if I am doing everything right that I’m supposed to?
I have a tuner, I can’t screw up with tuning it, Right?
Do all Violins sound different, or do they sound the same?
That’s all I can think of right now …. Thank you!

Different violins can differ a little with sound. To the unknowing ear, though, it’s nothing too noticable.

Put the tape on with painter’s tape – the blue stuff. That way, when you peel it off, it won’t be sticky at all.

I would check out the books and the DVD & CD – they’ll probably help!
