While playing my violin, I get a pintched tone. What can I do to make this sound better quiality?
I recently bought new strings and the sound is better, but I'm still a little pintched tone. I also bought a new bow, made of genuine Mongolian horsehair. Bow I'm using now is synthetic hair. Do you think pintched sound of the bow? I am also changing resin from light to dark. I know where my notes are supposed to sound, I'm just trying to achieve that sound.
What do you mean by "pinched"? I do not really understand. What brand of strings do you use? This will make a huge difference in your sound. Dominants are best brand if you are in the U.S.. If the arc is genuine horsehair so it is not your problem.Whenever you change something (bow, rosin. Strings), so the sound will change a bit.
