is this true about guitar playing?
is it true that a right handed player can learn to play a guitar left handed if that is how they start out playing? ( much like a left handed person learning to play a right handed guitar). For me I am a right handed and I want to learn to play the bass left handed. ( I’ve never played the guitar before besides guitar hero) I also play guitar hero left handed. Would playing left handed affect my bass playing abilities? It is just much more comfortable for me to hold the guitar left handed because it is easier for me to fret with my right hand. any thoughts? (p.s. I can write with my left hand pretty well. A teacher once told me that my left handed writing is better than my right although I write with my right) Below is the bass I’m looking to buy.

If you are a true ambidextrous individual, you will be able to play both ways equally (depending on which you practice with).
But, if you have a dominant playing hand, you had better stick with that! I’m telling you, trying to play with your uncomfortable hand can not only screw up your dexterity, but you’ll waste precious time on a gimmick that will never rise to the level of excellence that you can only achieve with your musically dominant hand.
You hand is dominant for a reason. It is responding to that side of your brain that literally is thirsty for musical development.
It is that part that you want to reward by practicing. I promise, your brain will not let you down if you are sensitive to it’s desires!
