This is a violin selling question!?

I have a full size violin with no strings and a broken bridge… i want to sell it to the pawn shop because i dont have the money to fix. How much would i get and how can I tell what brand my violin is??

Well, first of all there is no such thing as a violin “brand” — if you say that to the pawn shop owner he’ll probably give you even lower than what it’s worth.

Honestly, in the condition it’s in, don’t expect mroe than 10 bucks. If it was actually worth something, you’d probably know. However if you want to double check look in the “S” hole (if you are staring at the insturment it is the one on the right side usually) and there will be some sort of label in there. It might not tell you too much but it’s a start. then google the name and see if it’s worth anything. Remember, with no bridge or strings, regardless of what it’s worth, it will be a whole lot less with those missing items (and i imagine your soundpost is dislodged as well with the bridge broken).
