What is the most technically demanding WA Mozart, "Adelaide" and Haydn's Violin Concerto G Major?
I would have to say Haydn's Violin Concerto is more technically demanding piece. Yes, Adélaïde Concerto, some more changes and some passages that sound difficult, but they are patterns that sits much more neatly under the fingers, rather than the elegant and varied tunes Haydn. I think evidenced by the many very small children who play Adélaïde Concerto (check YouTube), whereas it is more complete player who performs Haydn (and drop shots or perform it in concert seasons). By the way, Adélaïde Concerto is not actually by Mozart at all – it was composed by a French violinist and composer named Marius Casadesus during the 20th century, and he mistakenly claimed that it was by Mozart for many years, until he confessed in 1977.
