Has anyone bought the Viper electric violin?

my friend bought one last summer, the 7-string model, and he is really happy with it. I've heard him play, and it is really high quality and definitely worth the price. he and I last spring were actually able to perform a concert with Mark Wooden guy who invented the viper. Serpent's really cute, and if you are serious about getting an eclectic violin, I'd invest in one.
