why musicians today play their instruments without feeling?
I see great people, especially children, child prodigy, playing these instruments, such as guitar, violin, cello, piano and others. even played with great mechanicality, they seem not to show emotions. it is such a case in playing classical music. I think most competitions today only judge the player of the instrument to play the instrument properly and not on emotions being played with. As Arthur Rubinstein said: "This is not to do the right notes, but to play it with your soul. "What are your thoughts?
You mentioned a lot of orchestral instruments. I think the answer is to your question. Playback of these instruments requires a lot of precision and clearly defined movements, there has probably been drummed (pardon the pun) in their heads from a long retirement. Just because they do not show emotion does not mean they're not playing with emotion, in my opinion.
