bach violin sonatas

I’m looking for some good classical music suggestions?
I’m looking for some fast, complex classical pieces to listen to. Anything where the performer is basically “shredding” his or her instrument. I usually prefer pieces that involve a small number of instruments, like string quartets or solo works (although I like Beethoven’s 5th and 9th a lot). To give you an idea of what I generally like, two of my favorite works are Bach’s suites for solo cello and his sonatas and partitas for solo violin. I also like a lot of Beethoven’s and Schubert’s string quartets, and the four seasons by Vivaldi. I’m not quite sure how to put this in music terms, but I’m looking for pieces that are complex, technically involved and sort of darker (just not totally happy/whimsical-sounding).
I’m not that deep into the classical genre, and I’m assuming there is more fast, complex classical music out there, so I was hoping some enthusiasts out there might see this and give me some good recommendations.
Shredding eh?
