Best strings for violin?
I have an Andreas Eastman 605, and I want to know what strings are best for it and what rosin. To me, my playing sounds a little harsh and shrill – but then again, I recently discovered that too much rosin is unnecessary…and I usually piled rosin on my violin.
Any opinions or answers would be greatly appreciated. Right now I’m using Dominant G, D, and A and Pirastro wondertone solo. It sounds very shrill to me, but I haven’t heard my violin from a third person’s POV.
Pirastro’s Obligato should be your best bet!
