How much is my violin? And where should I sell it?
Its a 2001 Cremona 3/4, model: SV175
i have a bow and hard case. i have never used it and i got it in 2003 so its been sitting around. my friend had it before me and she used it but as far as i kno its in great condition. no scratches or anything. its kinda tiny (4th grader size).
so how much can i make if i sell it? if i use something online what should i use? like amazon or ebay, or something else?? help please!! at least can i have a ball park price. thanks.
I used to sell those, and they go for $150. But for quick sale, I’d ask for $99.00 – and use craigslist. You should also note in your ad that it’s a “outfit” – that it comes with instrument, bow, case and rosin. Then shine it up real nicely, and make sure your parents are there when anyone shows up to look at it.
The SV175 is actually a pretty good fiddle for the price, but there are a million of them on ebay and it’s not worth fooling with on Amazon. You should also run an ad for a week in your local Thrifty Nickel.
